About 3.6 million Kenyan children are orphans or otherwise classified as vulnerable. Of these, 646,887 children have lost both parents, while 2.6 million children have lost at least one parent (one million of them to AIDS). Other children are vulnerable to poverty, harmful cultural practices, family breakdown, abandonment, natural disasters, ethnic and political conflicts and poor care arrangements.

Charity Clothes for Children’s Garden Home
At 850 meters from Qinetra Laundry you will find the Children’s Garden Home. Children’s Garden Home is a community-based, non-governmental, non-profit charitable organization for orphaned, abandoned, abused, desperate and neglected street children, regardless of religion, gender, color or tribe. Through parental love, spiritual care, rehabilitation and non-formal education, we nurture them to unleash their full potential to live good lives based on self-reliance.
Being a child in this home doesn’t mean they don’t have needs and feelings. Losing parents does not mean they are no longer human. They are still people, just children in a Home.

The children need clothes
It breaks our hearts to say that these children are deprived of the basic necessities that support daily care. One of these necessities is clothing. Imagine having nothing suitable to wear in harsh weather conditions… how would you feel? donate clothes to these kids to help.
These children go through this misery every day of every year. Many of these unfortunate children have no clothes to keep them warm in cold weather.
That is why we have a donation box at Qinetra Laundry, where you can donate your unwanted clothing. We will then ensure that these clothes end up with the children of the Children’s Garden Home
